Spanish IT giant Indra’s flight simulation division has accelerated its Visual Studio compilation times by 80% by using Incredibuild, the leading solution provider of continuous delivery acceleration technology.

“Rebuilding our whole solutions with Visual Studio takes about 30 minutes. With IB we reduce that time to 5 minutes,” said José Ignacio Anguita, head of the Visual Image Generator department at Indra. “The full-rebuild made by our continuous integration system, Jenkins, which includes the rebuilding of 3rd party libraries, is reduced significantly as well,” he concludes.

According to Anguita, Incredibuild’s impact can be felt all across the development cycle, from testing to continuous improvement of the code which results in a no-compromise product. “IB helps us to shorten compilation waiting times, which means we can generate more tests and, consequently, improve our code more dynamically. You can do more in less time and it reduces waiting times and the loss of attention that comes with it.”

Incredibuild dramatically shortens continuous delivery cycles by accelerating development processes such as compilations, tests, code analysis, packaging, and more. This is achieved through running said processes in parallel across multiple cores within the network, using underused and unused CPU capacity.

“Incredibuild isn’t about fast builds,” said Incredibuild CEO, Eyal Maor. “It’s about the 360 effect continuous integration acceleration has on every aspect of the organization: from developer productivity to lowered costs and faster time to market. Being fast is just the beginning.”
